LifeScan Launches OneTouch Verio Meter in the US with Motivational Messaging

LifeScan recently announced the US launch of the OneTouch Verio Blood Glucose Monitoring System. The system is now available nationwide at an estimated retail price of $19.99. LifeScan has an updated website, which includes a neat video highlighting the new Verio meter’s features: (i) a color-coded range indicator that provides immediate feedback on whether a glucose reading is in an individual’s pre-specified target range (green dot), above range (red dot), or below range (blue dot);  (ii) automatic progress messages to should be more motivational – e.g. “You are now in range after 3 above range results in a row,” and “Your average over the last 7 days is 112 mg/dl.” The meter can also provide 14-day, 30-day, and 90-day glucose level averages. Like the OneTouch Verio IQ, the new Verio Meter will use LifeScan’s Verio test strips.
